IPO –Increasing People Opportunities is a non profit (aps) organization established in Italy, Perugia 2004, committed to guarantee equal rights and opportunities for the developing countries. Infact, 'ipo', in the ancient greek language, just means ‘under’.
IPO promotes natural resources and related income generating activities for development.
IPO is sensitive to environment biodiversity, cultural diversity and to an harmonic and compatible human pressure.
IPO does not believe that international cooperation needs to modify environments, behaviours, beliefs and ways of life, because they are inalienable rights of the community and individual as such not sacrificable to development. In that meaning, natural resources mean ‘respect’.
Because of above mentioned reasons, IPO considers sedentariness and nomadism in the same way, including in-between forms. IPO accepts every ethnic, political, religious, linguistic and social distinction and assigns equal rights to each.
IPO fights to guarantee economic, political and cultural self-sufficiency for the communities with whom it works with, increasing opportunities and access to them, as his own vision of international cooperation based on natural resources.
